Thank goodness!  Epcot will be back to normal!!!

"Mickey Mouse gloved hand and wand to be removed from Spaceship Earth

Removal of the Mickey Mouse gloved hand and wand treatment that was installed on Spaceship Earth at Epcot as part of the Millennium Celebration will start today.


Cranes have begun removing the icon, which was later updated for the 100 years of Magic celebration. The removal will be complete by mid-September, shortly before Epcot's 25th anniversary Oct. 1.


Refurbishment of Spaceship Earth also is underway. Spaceship Earth's Post Show will remain open during the closure, and the attraction is scheduled to reopen in late November."

I have waited for this day since they said they were going to keep it after the 2000 celebration was over.  Now if we can just get rid of the silly hat at the Studios!
